Defra Letter to Small Businesses Providing Assets for EU Exit

Get ready for Brexit

The UK leaving the EU mean there are changes the food and drink industry will need to prepare for. Recent research has indicated 66% of SMEs have not taken action to prepare for Brexit yet. We want to reach these businesses to make sure they have the information and material created to enable them to prepare.

We are contacting you to cascade the assets that have been made available, to help small business find the information to act on now and get ready for Brexit. Please download and encourage sharing with your networks and communications teams.

These assets have been produced by Defra, and include printable and digital versions to suit varying communications needs, including;

  • Food and drink sector leaflet outlining the key steps your business may need to take to prepare for      Brexit;
  • A process map to explain the steps you need to take to continue exporting products of animal origin to the EU ;
  • Posters and social media assets – to print or share on your digital channels.

We’d be interested in hearing feedback if you think there are any other types of communications or formats businesses would find useful, so please get in touch with us if there are.
